First and foremost, I miss home. Home includes my parents, my room, my sleeping partner Barney, the fridge, the tv plus the Astro, the smell of the house, or in short, everything! Yes! I miss everything in KK. It is been nearly 3 months I am here. 3 months since I left home. Patience is all I need now. When I get home during this coming holidays, I will be either staying and spending my quality time at home with my family or eat all I can with them.
Secondly, I miss my friends in KK. I am not saying I do not appreciate my new friends I have made here, but I just miss talking with my friends with Sabahan dialect. And once again, I am not saying that I do not have new Sabahan friends here but we rarely get to meet each other due to different courses and faculty. Once we gather, people around us will keep looking because we talk too much, too fast and loud. They can automatically identify us as the Sabahan.
Thirdly, I miss my babies! I am a proud youngest auntie or Mak Su Izan they will call me, to 4 nephews and 2 nieces. The eldest will turn 14 years old this year, the youngest two just turned 1 year old. I miss baby Zulaikha & baby Hanif. Both of them just celebrated their 1st birthday last March & April respectively. And I missed both of their party/kenduri. Sad story. I miss holding them with my hands, I miss hugging them, I miss making them giggle, making them smile. I feel like they are my babies probably because I was there when they were born. I mean, I was among the first ones in the hospital during their birth. Same goes to Thaqif, who turns 3 years old this month.
Fourthly, I miss a friend of mine. Once he was my best friend. He was the closest friend I had at that time. I miss spending my time with him. Thanks for saying the 1 year period was a good times. It was a good times for me too! To know someone like you!
Lastly, I miss my Windows Vista. I had to reformat my laptop because I cannot connect to Internet, I cannot update my firewall, cannot play songs or videos on Media Player Classic and other stuff. I went to the computer shop and asked them to reformat my laptop. So they installed this Windows 7 on my laptop! I am still getting to know this Windows. Everything is new to me. But the good news is I can connect to Internet!
